I am a descendent of William Barrow who lived at Kirkby Hall from around 1765 (source parish records). Prior to that his abode was recorded as "Chappels". His son Thomas, who was a spademaker at a forge at Rosside, near Ulverston was my GGGGF. I assume the Barrows were tenants of Kirkby Hall - if anybody has any information on the Barrows please email me.
